Type
A type is a category or classification used to group people, objects, ideas, or concepts that share similar characteristics or properties. Types help organize by identifying common features, describe, and distinguish one group from another. The criteria used to define a type vary depending on the context. In science, types may be based on physical or biological characteristics; in computing, they classify different kinds of data; and in everyday language, the word is commonly used to describe a particular kind or variety of something.
